Ecodynamic company label
In December 2024, the Dansaert Centre was awarded the ecodynamic company label in recognition of its day-to-day eco-management efforts.
In addition to the label, the aim was also to unite the Centre’s staff and residents around these practices. Since many years, the Centre has been characterised by individual initiatives (either by tenants or the Centre itself) and its own values. These practices could therefore be promoted and developed within the framework of the label and even encourage companies and the Centre to go further.
Why this label?
The Ecodynamic Enterprise Label rewards and encourages companies, associations and institutions in Brussels that take action to reduce the impact of their activities on the environment. It is an official and free recognition.
The label recognises eco-management initiatives, particularly in the areas of :
– waste management and prevention
– rational use of water and energy
– mobility
– purchasing
– organisation of the structure
A list of good practices to be implemented is defined by the label. The efforts made are symbolised according to a three-level scale, calculated on the proportion of good practices actually implemented (verified by field audit): one, two or three star(s). The Centre has therefore been awarded two stars.
Who is this label for?
The Ecodynamic Enterprise Label is open to private, public, commercial and non-commercial organisations in all sectors.
There are no minimum requirements in terms of size or surface area.
The label is awarded for one of the organisation’s business sites. Organisations with several sites can apply for a label for each of their sites.
This means that all the Centre’s residents can apply for this label, knowing that the process is now easier as a certain number of good practices are validated by the Centre’s label.
What impact will this have on resident companies?
This label is recognised by the Brussels administration as a means of achieving exemplarity. Since 2024, all Brussels Economy and Employment subsidies have been increased for companies recognised as exemplary in environmental and/or social terms.
Obtaining the label automatically grants companies exemplary environmental status and therefore the bonus increases.
